The Art of War

"The Art of War" by Niccolò Machiavelli, written in 1521, is a comprehensive discourse on the role of military strategy and its connection to politics and governance. Unlike Sun Tzu’s work of the same name, Machiavelli's treatise is deeply rooted in the political realities of Renaissance Italy and reflects his belief in the importance of a disciplined, citizen-based army for the stability and security of the state.
